On March 4, 2020, Hodges Media, LLC filed an application with the FCC to renew the license of W289CU, which serves Knoxville, TN on 105.7 FM at 0.25 kilowatts from a site located at 35-57-20N, 83-58-14.0W. W289CU rebroadcasts the signal of radio station WKGN, Knoxville, TN, 1340 AM. Individuals who wish to advise the FCC of facts relating to our renewal application and to whether this station has operated in the public interest should file comments and petitions with the FCC.

Notice of Availability: Draft Environmental Assessment (EA): Proposed research project by the University of Tennessee at Knoxville’s Forensic Anthropology Center (FAC). In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Institute of Justice has completed a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed research project to determine whether traumatic fractures in the human body occur as the cause of death or occur as a result of fire post death. Project locations for the proposed research are at the UT FAC laboratory facility and the UT Institute of Agriculture Research Center Cumberland Forest Southern Property. The research includes lab work and testing along with the construction and use of an open forensic pyre. The purpose of this EA is to analyze how the proposed action would potentially impact the environment. The Draft EA is available upon request by sending an email to info@clarkgroupllc.com. The Draft EA will be provided in electronic format unless a hard copy is specifically requested. NIJ is accepting comments on this EA through April 2, 2020. Comments should be submitted to Steven Schuetz, NIJ NEPA Coordinator, at steven.schuetz@usdoj.gov
