A collection of video interviews and photographs entitled "Looking at the Dark" by Knoxville artist Alex Merchant will be exhibited on the north side of the Balcony at the Emporium Center. The exhibition will open on Friday, September 7 at 5:00 p.m.

A new monthly series featuring artists' works will also discuss their inspirations and processes. Entitled "Time Well Spent: Inspiration at Lunch" this series is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring a "Brown Bag" lunch and enjoy interactive presentations beginning at 12:00 noon at the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street, in downtown Knoxville.

The first presenter in the series is Oak Ridge ceramic artist Bill Capshaw who will bring a portable kiln to demonstrate some of his techniques on Wednesday, September 19 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
