MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Three of the more than 10 million vacationers who will visit Myrtle Beach and South Carolina’s Grand Strand this year enjoy a morning walk.

The 60-mile-long Grand Strand may have almost 100 top-caliber golf courses, a Medieval Times, the Pirates Voyage dinner show, WonderWorks, a giant Ferris Wheel, seafood restaurants galore, go-kart tracks, a Ripley’s Aquarium, the Carolina Opry, an array of highly themed miniature golf courses and scores of other enticements, but it’s the beach that really is the attraction. Brilliant sunrises, breezes off the Atlantic and the occasional seashell soothe the soul.
