MC's Findley named GSAC Volleyball Player of the Week
DECATUR, Ga.- The Great South Athletic Conference announced the first weekly honor roll award winners for the 2011 fall season. Earning the first award of the year for volleyball is Maryville College's Kristin Findley.
Findlay was instrumental in helping the Scots to a 3-1 record over the weekend at the Hanover Classic in Hanover, Ind. Findley recorded four consecutive double-doubles against Anderson (23Kills/19Digs), Capital (25Kills/20Digs), Spalding (10Kills/17Digs), and Centre (19Kills/26Digs).
Findley surpassed the 1,000 career kill plateau this weekend while sitting at the doorstep of 1,000 career digs with 938. In four matches and 16 games, Findley attacked at a .320 pace with 77 kills. She added eight service aces, 82 digs, two solo blocks, and three block assists for an outstanding week of action.
