The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its winter meetings Feb. 26–27 in the Mooney Library located on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center campus (Mooney Building, 875 Monroe Avenue, Memphis, TN 38163).

Council to Consider Eight Applicants for Upcoming Court of Criminal Appeals Eastern Section Vacancy

Nashville, Tenn. – The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider eight applicants when it meets to select nominees for an upcoming vacancy on the Court of Criminal Appeals Eastern Section, after the appointment of Judge Kyle A. Hixson to the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Tennessee Board of Regents Audit Committee Meeting

The Audit Committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents will meet in a regular session Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026. The agenda includes informational reporting on various audit findings and recommendations, audit reports and reviews, and internal audit updates. Action items include revisions to Fiscal Year 2026 internal audit plans.

The meeting will convene at 1 p.m. CT. It will be held by teleconferencing and will be live-streamed and archived on the TBR website here, except for a portion of the meeting required by state law to be confidential. UT Health Science Center Releases Proposed Tuition and Mandatory Fee Increases

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center when the board meets on Feb. 26–27 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tennessee law (Tennessee Code Annotated § 49-7-1603) requires boards of public universities to provide public notice of proposed increases to tuition and mandatory fees charged to in-state undergraduate students at least 15 days prior to holding a public meeting to adopt increases. Individuals may provide comments during the 15-day period, and a transcript of comments received will be provided to the UT Board of Trustees. The public comment period will end Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. EST/5 p.m. CST. Anyone with a disability who wishes to provide feedback may contact the individuals listed below to request any additional assistance.

UT Campus Advisory Board Meeting Postponed

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Advisory Board meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, has been postponed.

Some members of the advisory board are unable to attend due to recent winter weather across the state. The meeting will be rescheduled at a later date.

TVA Board of Directors to Host Public Session and Quarterly Meeting in Hopkinsville, Ky.

The Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors invites the public to join in person or online for its quarterly business meeting at 9 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. A live stream of the meeting will be available at TVA.com.

A public listening session will be held the day before, Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT at the same location. UT to Hold Public Rulemaking Hearing

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold a rulemaking hearing, in the manner prescribed by the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, T.C.A. §4-5-204, on Nov. 21, starting at 10 a.m. CST. The hearing will be held at the University of Tennessee at Martin, in the Boling University Center, Room 229, 11 Wayne Fisher Drive, Martin, TN 38238.

The University previously filed a Notice of Rulemaking Hearing with the Tennessee secretary of state on Sept. 25, 2025. The hearing pertains to proposed amendments to the Student Code of Conduct at UT Martin (Chapter 1720-05-01). A copy of the proposed rule, along with a redline version denoting the amendments to the existing rule, is attached to the Notice of Hearing Filing. Pursuant to authority delegated by the Board, General Counsel Ryan Stinnett or his designee will serve as the presiding officer and oversee and conduct the hearing. This grant would provide Knoxville Leadership Foundation with grant funds that would be used in rural Knox County to do minor home repairs for seniors, individuals with disabilities, individuals, and families who reside in very low- or low-income households. To qualify for this grant, it is necessary to announce its potential to the area in which we will serve and receive feedback from the community. Pursuant to 7 CFR part 1944.674(b), anyone may review our Statement of Activities which lists our intended purpose and use of grant funds, if received. Anyone in the proposed counties in which funds are to be spent may review the Statement of Activities and provide comments.
