The site is identified by TDEC as Facility ID No. 2-470585. A Notice of Land Use Restriction (NLUR) has been developed and accepted by TDEC-DUST. Tennessee Board of Regents quarterly meeting

The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) will hold its next regular quarterly meeting March 4, 2026, at the TBR system office in Nashville. The board governs the College System of Tennessee – the state’s public community colleges and colleges of applied technology.

Agenda highlights include, but are not limited to, informational reporting and updates on the Tennessee Direct Admissions initiative, state legislation affecting the system, electronic learner records, and high impact practices for teaching and learning; review of the Fiscal Year 2024-25 financial report, and consideration of proposed revisions to three TBR policies, faculty emeriti designations, and a proposed building naming.

The board will convene at 1:30 p.m. CT, Wednesday, March 4, in the ground-floor boardroom at the TBR System Office, 1 Bridgestone Park, Nashville, TN 37214. The meeting will be livestreamed and archived on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/march-2026-quarterly-board-meeting.

The proposed policy revisions are for TBR policies regarding Family, Medical, and Service Member Leave, Motor Vehicles, and Emergency Management Planning. There are two faculty emeriti nominations – one each from Dyersburg State Community College and Southwest Tennessee Community College. The building naming request is from Nashville State Community College and Tennessee College of Applied Technology Dickson for the new facility in Dickson that the two colleges share.

Knoxville City Council Workshop Agenda

The Knoxville City Council will hold a workshop on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Main Assembly Room of the City County Building. Knoxville-Knox County Planning staff will provide an overview of the rezoning and plan amendment request process from application submittal through legislative review. Staff will also provide a preliminary overview of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan process.

Upcoming UT Board of Trustees Meetings Announced

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its winter meetings Feb. 26–27 in the Mooney Library located on the University of Tennessee Health Science Center campus (Mooney Building, 875 Monroe Avenue, Memphis, TN 38163).

Council to Consider Eight Applicants for Upcoming Court of Criminal Appeals Eastern Section Vacancy

Nashville, Tenn. – The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider eight applicants when it meets to select nominees for an upcoming vacancy on the Court of Criminal Appeals Eastern Section, after the appointment of Judge Kyle A. Hixson to the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Tennessee Board of Regents Audit Committee Meeting

The Audit Committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents will meet in a regular session Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026. The agenda includes informational reporting on various audit findings and recommendations, audit reports and reviews, and internal audit updates. Action items include revisions to Fiscal Year 2026 internal audit plans.

The meeting will convene at 1 p.m. CT. It will be held by teleconferencing and will be live-streamed and archived on the TBR website here, except for a portion of the meeting required by state law to be confidential. UT Health Science Center Releases Proposed Tuition and Mandatory Fee Increases

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will consider tuition and mandatory fee increases for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center when the board meets on Feb. 26–27 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tennessee law (Tennessee Code Annotated § 49-7-1603) requires boards of public universities to provide public notice of proposed increases to tuition and mandatory fees charged to in-state undergraduate students at least 15 days prior to holding a public meeting to adopt increases. Individuals may provide comments during the 15-day period, and a transcript of comments received will be provided to the UT Board of Trustees. The public comment period will end Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. EST/5 p.m. CST. Anyone with a disability who wishes to provide feedback may contact the individuals listed below to request any additional assistance.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Advisory Board meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, has been postponed.

Some members of the advisory board are unable to attend due to recent winter weather across the state. The meeting will be rescheduled at a later date.

TVA Board of Directors to Host Public Session and Quarterly Meeting in Hopkinsville, Ky.

The Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors invites the public to join in person or online for its quarterly business meeting at 9 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. A live stream of the meeting will be available at TVA.com.
