KCHD to Offer Free Flu Shots

KNOX COUNTY, TN - The Knox County Health Department will offer free flu shots at five locations as a part of the Tennessee Department of Health’s Fight Flu TN Day. Fight Flu TN will take place on Oct. 20 with locations across the state offering free flu shots.

KCHD will offer the vaccines at the following locations:

• Knox County Health Department
8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
140 Dameron Avenue

• Knox County Health Department West Clinic
8 a.m. – 12 p.m. 9000 Executive Park Drive, Suite A301B

• Mission District Safe Space
1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
505 Depot Avenue

• Emerald Youth East Area Ministry Complex
3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
2410 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue
Free food will be available at this location in partnership with New Direction Health Care Solutions and Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.

• Lonsdale Elementary
4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.
1505 Louisiana Avenue

The clinics are open to the public. KCHD will vaccinate insured and uninsured adults and children at no cost to the patient. No appointments are needed.
