KNOXVILLE - As part of an ongoing effort to support stronger health outcomes for mothers and babies, Wellpoint Tennessee, in partnership with Helping Mamas Knoxville, hosted a Maternal Community Resource Drive-Thru on Thursday, May 14, at Faith Promise Church – North Campus in Knoxville.
327 individuals attended the event, receiving maternal health education materials, diapers, and connections to trusted local resources. The event featured a convenient drive-thru format designed to make access as easy as possible for expectant mothers and families with young children.
“Improving maternal and infant health outcomes starts with making sure families have access to the right support at the right time,” said Rachel Chinetti, president of Wellpoint Tennessee. “By bringing essential resources, education and community connections directly to Knoxville families, we are helping remove barriers to care and supporting healthier beginnings for both moms and babies.”
A key partner for the event was Helping Mamas Knoxville, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving health and well-being by supplying critical items to women, children, and families in need. Helping Mamas Knoxville donated more than 500 diaper bundles to help address an often-overlooked need that directly impacts maternal and infant health.
