KNOXVILLE - Last night at 10:20 PM, the Knox County Commission District received a report from a passerby about a fire at 4704 Rutledge Pike. Upon arrival, the first responding crew observed heavy smoke emanating from the building. Twenty firefighters promptly initiated an interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control swiftly.
By 11:15 PM, crews remained on scene conducting overhaul operations to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished. The affected structure is a single-level brick building housing three separate businesses. The fire was contained to Bel Corpo, which sustained significant damage from fire, water, and smoke. The other two businesses incurred minor smoke damage.
At the time of the fire, the affected business was closed, and there were no occupants inside the building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
