KNOXVILLE - Nourish Knoxville invites the community to welcome back the Winter Farmers Market on Saturday, January 17, 2026, marking the market’s return after a brief winter break. The market will continue every Saturday through March 28, offering a reliable gathering place for local produce, artisan makers, and community connection in the heart of downtown Knoxville.

Opening Day Highlights include:
A full lineup of local vendors offering winter produce, meat, honey, herbs, plants, pastries and baked goods, coffee, handmade pasta, and a wide range of artisan goods, including jewelry, pottery, photography, woodworking, original art, bath and body products, and fiber crafts. All vendors are located within 150 miles of Knoxville, supporting regional farmers, makers, and small businesses throughout the winter season.
New to the 2026 market season, the Winter Farmers Market Passport encourages repeat visits by allowing shoppers to collect stamps at each market for a chance to win a prize.
Returning this year is the Weekly Composting Program, allowing shoppers to drop off compostable materials every Saturday and help reduce food waste.
Live music in designated Busking Zones, featuring local musicians and adding to the market’s welcoming winter atmosphere.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the Winter Farmers Market in the New Year,” said Beverly Keys, Markets Engagement Coordinator. “Winter markets offer something really special, a slower pace, meaningful conversations with growers and makers, and a chance to keep supporting local food even in the coldest months.”
The 2025–2026 Winter Farmers Market operates every Saturday from January 17th through March 28th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, and continues to offer popular programs that increase access and engagement:
• Nourish Kids, a free activity for children ages 2–12, takes place on select second Saturdays and includes hands-on learning, a seasonal produce sample, and $5 in Produce Bucks to spend at the market. Nourish Kids will be held on February 14 and March 14.
• SNAP & Double Up Food Bucks help make fresh, locally grown food more accessible. The Winter Farmers Market accepts SNAP benefits every Saturday with an increased Double Up Food Bucks match to stretch grocery budgets even further. Shoppers who redeem SNAP at the market will receive a 1-to-2 match, up to $25 of SNAP per day. For example, if a shopper uses $25 from their SNAP card, they will receive an additional $50 in Double Up Food Bucks to spend on fresh produce.
