When Engine 15 first arrived at 4120 Sherry Drive in North Knoxville, there was heavy smoke and fire showing from the roof of the home. One of the residents was stuck on the porch and had to be rescued by KFD.

Crews made a quick fire attack from inside the home, but had to exit and work defensively due to the rapid fire spread. The fire was deemed under control by 2:37 pm. The home is a total loss.

There were two individuals at home when the fire started. Both were able to get out with the assistance of firefighters, and were transported to UT Medical Center by AMR.

As of 3:00 pm, fire crews were still checking for hotspots and overhauling.

There were no reports of any firefighters injured.
