KNOX COUNTY - Knox County government offices, including libraries and the Health Department, will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Libraries will begin their regular schedule on Saturday, Nov. 29. The Mayor’s Office and health department will open for regular business on Monday, Dec. 1.

Convenience Centers will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27. Centers will resume normal operation on Friday, Nov. 28. Please be reminded that Convenience Centers are always closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Traffic at the convenience centers is expected to be high after the two-day closure and extra waste generated from Thanksgiving gatherings. Remember, never pour oil or grease down your household drains or into public storm drains; used vegetable oil stored in a closed, non-glass container can be recycled for free at all convenience center locations.
