KNOXVILLE — On Friday, December 19, 2025, the Knoxville Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 705 S. 17th Street, located at The Standard apartment complex. Upon arrival, crews quickly controlled and extinguished the fire. Following an investigation by Knoxville Fire Department Fire Investigators, the incident was determined to be an intentionally set fire.

With help from the public, investigators received multiple tips that proved critical to the case. Based on this information, three suspects were identified. All three individuals are juveniles, and the case has been referred to the Knox County Juvenile Court, where appropriate charges are being addressed in accordance with Tennessee law.
