Man arrested for starting ridge fire in North Knoxville

KNOXVILLE - A man was taken into custody today shortly after setting a fire on the ridge behind Lynnhurst Cemetery at 2300 Adair Drive. The suspect, 41-year-old Damon True, walked into a nearby store and told the employee he had set the fire and was going to set another.

Knoxville Fire Investigators and KPD officers located the suspect near a business on Old Broadway, where he was taken into custody after admitting to setting the fire.

The suspect was charged with setting fire to personal property or land, which is a felony.
