Commercial fire at 417 Holly Street

KNOXVILLE -- Friday evening at 11:38 p.m., the Knox County 911 Center received a call for a possible building fire in the area of Holly Street and East Fifth Avenue.

On arrival of KFD companies, a fire was located inside 417 Holly Street- Hire Quest. Fire companies quickly attacked the fire and were able to extinguish the fire within 13 minutes of arrival at the scene.

The building has sustained moderate smoke, water, and fire damage throughout, with the majority of the damage to one end of the structure.

The building was not occupied at the time of the fire, but is an operating business.

No injuries have been reported.

KFD fire investigators are working to determine a cause.
