UKRAINE -- Restaurateur Misha Katsurin launched the project “Dad, believe me” (‘papa pover’ in Russian) to provide accurate information about the war to relatives located in Russia

The musician and owner of the network of Asian food establishments “Pryvit” shared on his social media an account of a conversation with his father, who lives in Russia. He tried to explain the reality of the full-scale and brutal war occurring in Ukraine, but was met with disbelief due to the influence of Russian propaganda.

In only a few days, 135,000 users shared Misha’s post. He decided to try again to tell his father the truth, recording the conversation and creating the website papapover.com (English version: papapover.com/en/). Here anyone can find advice on how to talk to relatives in Russia so that they believe the truth.
