KCHD holding community flu clinics
September 23, 2021

KNOX COUNTY - The Knox County Health Department will host two community flu vaccination clinics at the end of this month.

September 24: Haslam-Sansom Ministry Complex from 4 – 7 p.m.
1740 Texas Avenue

September 30: West High School from 5 – 7 p.m.
3300 Sutherland Avenue

The clinics are free and open to the public on a walk-in basis. FluMist and flu shots will be available. However, no high-dose flu vaccine will be administered. For those who have not received their COVID-19 vaccine, the Pfizer vaccine will be on hand. The flu and COVID-19 vaccine can be administered at the same visit.

KCHD will vaccinate insured and uninsured adults and children at no cost to the patient, although insurance information will be requested for the flu vaccine, if available.

Flu vaccines are available for those six months of age and older. COVID-19 vaccines are available for those 12 and older.

KCHD urges everyone to make plans to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19 in order to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and healthy.
