Rep. Mckenzie statement on the pardoning of Zenobia Dobson

The following is a statement by State Representative Sam McKenzie of Knoxville on the pardoning of Zenobia Dobson by Governor Bill Lee:

“I’m elated by the Governor’s action today. Zenobia Dobson has become a guiding force in Knox County following the tragic murder of her son who died six years ago while shielding 3 children from a random drive-by shooting. She has since dedicated her life to preventing more senseless killings in her community. I’m pleased that Governor Lee has shown the compassion that she has earned and is allowing her to continue her important work with a clean slate.”
