Christmas is a time to give thanks and a time to give back. On December 8th, we will kick off ’12 Days of Giving’ to highlight some remarkable organizations across the state and provide opportunities for Tennesseans to get involved in their transformative work. We are excited to once again see the spirit of selflessness and generosity spread across Tennessee.

Maria and I have had the privilege of interacting with many of these organizations and seeing the incredible impact they are making in communities across our state. They represent causes that we are passionate about including expanding foster care and adoption, defending the unborn by supporting women, children, and families, ending hunger in our state, fighting human trafficking, and supporting families of the incarcerated. These organizations represent every Grand Division and offer various ways to get involved such as donating food, volunteering time, or giving money.

The full list of our ’12 Days of Giving’ organizations is below, and you can also follow along on Facebook or Twitter.

As we reflect on the meaning and magnitude of Christmas and celebrate the significance of our Savior’s birth, may we all focus our hearts on receiving the ultimate gift and the hope that He brings.

Maria and I pray that the Lord will continue to bless our great state and her people, and we wish you all a blessed holiday with loved ones.
