KNOXVILLE – Knoxville-based healthcare law firm London Amburn has announced that Gary Wade, former Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court and Dean of the Duncan School of Law at Lincoln Memorial University, has joined the firm as a shareholder.

Judge Wade retired June 30 from his position as Dean of the Duncan School of Law at Lincoln Memorial University, a role he had held since 2015. Immediately prior to his academic post, Judge Wade served more than nine years as a member of the Tennessee Supreme Court, including two years as its Chief Justice. He also served nineteen years on the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, eight of those as the Presiding Judge.

“We are excited to welcome Judge Wade to London Amburn,” said Dale Amburn, president and CEO of the firm. “Wherever Judge Wade has served, he has always shown a deep commitment to legal excellence and to the service of others. He’s a perfect fit for our firm and will be a great mentor and teammate to our entire staff.”

“This is a special opportunity to join an organization whose core values are directly aligned with mine,” said Wade. “London Amburn is known for their forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team approach that includes a strong investment in the continuous education and training of its attorneys. The firm’s attorneys are leaders in their field, the bar and the community. I am excited to be joining a firm with a tremendous commitment to provide each client the best care and experience possible.”
