National healthcare corporation now hiring at Knoxville locations

Organization also seeks donations of personal
protection equipment for its senior care facilities

MURFREESBORO, TN – The National HealthCare Corporation (NHC), a recognized leader and innovator in the delivery of quality senior care for nearly 50 years, is seeking candidates for hundreds of full- and part-time positions to help meet the needs of residents and patients at their skilled nursing facilities nationwide, including nine Knoxville and East Tennessee area locations.

“We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to work with our residents and patients who need healthcare services and other quality of life assistance,” said Steve Flatt, CEO of NHC. “Given our need for both seasoned and new healthcare professionals as well as non-clinical staff, we offer many opportunities for people laid off in sectors being hit hard by this pandemic to find meaningful work enriching the lives of our senior community each and every day.”

In addition to several management positions, NHC seeks registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, registered dietitians, social workers, rehabilitation aides, recreation assistants, housekeepers, laundry and maintenance assistants as well as chefs and prep cooks. Training is available for those positions requiring it. For a complete list of available positions and to apply, visit www.nhccare.com/careers.

Donations of Personal Protection Equipment Needed
As part of its ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHC is accepting donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) to distribute to its healthcare providers and facilities in need. Items in greatest demand include surgical masks, disposable gowns, face shields or goggles, gloves and hand sanitizer.

“Keeping our residents, patients and partners safe during these unprecedented times is our top priority,” added Flatt. “In order to safely care for our senior population, we must have an adequate supply of PPE. Because of this, we are asking local businesses, our community partners and individuals for donations of these most critically needed supplies.”

For more information about PPE needs and where to donate, visit www.nhccare.com/donations-of-ppe.
