Summit Medical Group has opened Summit Express Clinic at Powell, its fourth Knoxville-area urgent care clinic. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are available seven days a week, including evenings and weekends.

Conveniently located just off Interstate 75 at Emory Road near Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center, Summit Express Clinic at Powell provides timely health services and treats acute illnesses and injuries for patients ages 2 and older. Patients do not have to be a Summit Medical Group primary care patient to visit the clinic.

“We understand that many people have busy schedules and need non-emergency medical services during evenings and weekends,” Summit Medical Group COO Ranee Guard said. “The Summit Express Clinic at Powell allows patients to walk in at their convenience or make a last-minute appointment any day of the week. The Powell clinic complements Summit’s existing urgent care locations and full offering of comprehensive healthcare services. Patients from Powell, Halls and the surrounding communities will receive the same excellent care East Tennessee expects and receives from Summit primary care offices.”

Summit Express Clinic at Powell offers treatment for common ailments including cold, flu and bronchitis; nausea and vomiting; earaches; urinary problems; skin rashes; sprains and fractures; sore throats; allergies and sinusitis; and minor lacerations requiring stitches. Vaccinations, including flu shots and measles boosters, are available, as well as sports and DOT physicals. The clinic also provides on-site laboratory and X-ray services.

Located at 7545 Barnett Way in the Emory Station shopping center, Summit Express Clinic at Powell is open Monday-Friday from noon-8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday from noon-8 p.m. For additional information, call 865-824-1524.
