KNOXVILLE — Simon says that West Town Mall is set to undergo a series of renovations and updates. Renovations include the addition of a new entrance, as well as a reimagined food court called ‘The Dining Pavilion.’ Simon is a global leader in the ownership of premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations.

The existing food court will receive a variety of enhancements. Those will include a fresh color palette, a new on-trend bar-height seating area, communal-style tables, comfortable soft seating banquettes, new tile flooring, modern lighting fixtures, and energy-efficient LED lighting. The transformed dining destination will be called ‘The Dining Pavilion’ and will feature favorite fast casual eateries, such as Chick-fil-A, Chipotle and Charley’s Philly Steaks.

All four existing mall entrances will undergo upgrades, and a fifth entrance will be added adjacent to the Dining Pavilion for easy access and convenience. Entrance enhancements will include new pavers, modern signage and lighting, along with more greenery, new planters and refreshed landscaping. Updated directional signage is also planned for roadway mall entrances.

Interior project components include common area upgrades, featuring new directional signage, LED lighting, tile flooring and carpeting, and refreshed color palettes.

“We are focused on continually evolving to best serve the Knox County community as a premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination,” said West Town Mall Manager Robert O’Grady. “This project will further strengthen the center’s reputation by enhancing the interior look and feel to complement the top brand name stores and dining experiences our shoppers have come to expect.”

The renovation project is anticipated to be completed by spring 2018. West Town Mall will remain open throughout all phases of the work to minimize shopper disruption.

West Town Mall features more than 150 local, national and international stores, including anchors Belk, JCPenney, Dillard’s and Sears. Other stores include Apple, Sephora, Coach, Forever 21 and more. West Town Mall is conveniently located off exit 380 on I-40, and offers a climate-controlled indoor space with airy walkways and lush landscaping.
