BG US Army (Ret) Steven M. Anderson joins RELYANT as Senior Vice President

steven m andersonMARYVILLE, TN -- A retired brigadier general with extensive logistics command experience in Korea and Iraq as well as at the Pentagon has joined RELYANT, LLC to spearhead the company's presence in Washington, D.C. and to lead this fast-growing organization's strategic planning and military business development.

Steven M. Anderson, BG U.S. Army (Ret.) joins RELYANT having served as director, operations and logistics readiness at the Pentagon in 2008 and 2009. His staff of 85 military, civilians and contractor personnel was responsible for all Army logistics readiness reporting and business intelligence software to improve readiness visibility. Anderson was also the Army's lead for resourcing and policy regarding weapon systems sustainment, war reserve stocks, and expeditionary housing.







BG Anderson also served under General David H. Petraeus as his deputy chief of staff, logistics for the Multi-National Force in Iraq from 2006 until 2007. He managed a budget of more than $5 billion and a team of 125 military and civilians from four coalition nations. The command was responsible for all resources and sustainment planning and oversight of support for 300,000 personnel. Earlier, Anderson was the deputy commanding general for the 8th Army and deputy chief of staff for logistics, U.S. Forces Korea, and, prior to that he was the commander, division support command for the 2nd Infantry Division in the Northern Sector of South Korea, supporting soldiers in deployed positions.
