HonorAir receives $1,000 donation from Tennessee Valley Fair
December 31, 2011

KNOXVILLE -- On September 11, 2011, the Tennessee Valley Fair raised funds during its Hometown Heroes Day. Ticket sales from Smoky Mountain Singer Songwriter, James Rogers' concert were designated for HonorAir.

Officials for HonorAir said that the donation would pay for two veterans to fly to Washington D.C. on their next trip, which is scheduled for April 18, 2012.

HonorAir Knoxville is presented by Prestige Cleaners and sponsored by Covenant Health. The goal of HonorAir Knoxville is to fly as many East Tennessee World War II and Korean War veterans as possible to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor.
