All Dogwood exhibit prospectus and applications are available for download at www.dogwoodarts.com/call.html

Art in Public Places Knoxville, now in its fifth year, is produced by Dogwood Arts, in partnership with the City of Knoxville Public Art Committee. The 2011 exhibition juror will be John Henry and will feature up to 35 large-scale, outdoor sculptures. The selected sculptures will be exhibited in downtown Knoxville from April 1 to October 28, 2011. The exhibition is open to artists 18 years of age or older residing in the United States. All works entered must have been created in the last two years and not previously exhibited in Knoxville. Work must be suitable for outdoor installation. A total of $4,000 in awards will be presented and, in addition, all finalists, whose works are installed, will receive an honorarium of $1,000 per sculpture. Deadline for entry is January 15, 2011.

Art Source is the Knox County Art Educators Exhibition, which began as a testament to the talent of Knoxville's dedicated teachers. For more than a decade, this show has provided the opportunity for art educators to showcase their dedication and abilities as practicing, professional artists. The exhibition is open to all actively employed art teachers and full-year art interns (K-12) in the Knox County School System. Original works completed within the last two years will be accepted for submission on May 1, 2011 from 2pm – 5pm at the UT Downtown Gallery. Awards will be presented for Best of Show, Jerry's Artarama Award, and two Juror's Citation's. The exhibit will show at the UT Downtown Gallery from May 6-27, 2011.

Chalk Walk features large sidewalk paintings created by professional and student artists on the sidewalk areas of Krutch Park and Market Square in downtown Knoxville on April 30, 2011. Thought to have originated in Italy in the 16th century, street painting is a growing event at many community festivals. The Dogwood Arts continues to bring this event to Knoxville as a way to teach and promote the history of this lost art to all ages and levels of artists. Awards will be presented for Best of Show, People's Choice, and 1st-3rd (in each category). Deadline for entry is April 1, 2011.

Dogwood Art DeTours is a studio tour that one can navigate through to visit local artist's actual working studios. This event, in its fifth year, provides the public with knowledge and appreciation for the creative process, also helping build direct relationships to the artists as individuals within the community. The event will take place April 2 – 3, 2011 and studios will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm both days.

Limited Edition Fine Art Print Exhibition and Competition results in the selection of one artwork by a regional artist which is purchased by the Dogwood Arts Festival, and becomes the print for the annual Festival. The entry qualifications for the Limited Edition Print Competition include works in all 2-D media, styles, and subject matter. This competition is open to all artists 18 years and older, residing within a 60-mile radius of Knoxville. Artworks completed within the past two years are eligible for consideration. The entry deadline is January 14, 2011.

Market Square Art Fair
is a popular outdoor event which features high-quality artisan and craftsmen booths, demonstrations by artisans, live musical entertainment, performing artists, children's activities, street entertainers, and festive foods. The Fair takes place April 15-17, 2011 on Market Square, along Market Street and Clinch Avenue, and in Krutch Park. Open to all artists within the accepted medium categories. There will be awards for Best of Show, one Artists Choice, and three Honorable Mentions. Deadline for entry is December 31, 2010.

This year's juror is Virgina Derryberry, Professor and Chair of the Department of Art at the University of North Carolina - Asheville. A total of $4,000 in awards will be presented. The exhibit will run from April 1-30, 2011 at Bennett Gallery. Deadline for entry is February 22, 2011.

Open to all student artists in grades K-12 in Knox and surrounding counties. Students whose work is displayed in this exhibit are nominated by their art teachers for their skill, talent, and dedication.
