OAK RIDGE, TN - The 26th Jackson Square Lavender Festival, presented by Oklo, Inc., returns to Oak Ridge on Saturday, June 20, in the city’s Historic Jackson Square. Lavender Festival celebrates good health, local creativity, the environment, and, of course, all things lavender, promoting seven lavender farms from across East Tennessee.
The Main Event, an herb fair, is free for attendees on Saturday, June 20, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. Additional ticketed events are available throughout the weekend, including a Tennessee Wine Tasting, Tour of Gardens, and Herb Lunch.

Saturday Vendors in Jackson Square - The highlight of the Main Event on Saturday is more than 140 juried artisan vendors with handmade and locally grown items, everything from pottery and woodworking, iron work, handmade baskets and more. Local food vendors and food trucks will be on hand with healthy food and drinks.
Returning this year is Kathy Mihalczo of Erin’s Meadow Herb Farm, the only vendor who has participated in all 26 Lavender Festivals, along with Scott Eatherly of Baskets & Chairs, who has been an artisan vendor for 22 years. You will find many other returning vendors, including Smoky Mountain Lavender, Garden Treasures, Gardener’s Wisconsin Cheese & Sausage, TN Naturescapes, Frog Juice, Custom Copperworks & Blacksmithing, Tryon Mountain Farm, Locally Grown, Watson’s Stained Glass, and The Empirical Herbalist.
New this year are Full Moon Tea Company, Oakville Iron Works, Secret Mountain Pottery, White Pine Leather, Special Growers, The Pickle People, Roth Art Photography, Maple Creek Woodworks, and others.
Local lavender farms will sell bundles of fresh cut and dried lavender, lavender treats and culinary products, as well as lavender bath & body products. They include Ever After Lavender, French Broad Lavender Farm, LoCo Lavender, Midfield Lavender, MGM Lavender Farm, and Smoky Mountain Lavender, Fair Winds Lavender and J&C Local Farms.
The Oak Ridge Farmers Market is relocated for Saturday, June 20, to the Blankenship Field parking lot 8 a.m. to noon EST, and will sell locally grown produce and handmade items, and plants.
All ages can find something fun at the Lavender Festival:
• Free live music on Saturday, June 20 in two areas: The big tent in Jackson Square and on the west end, in front of the United Way Building.
• Learn at Lavender: Informative presentations on growing lavender in East Tennessee. Butterflies of Tennessee, Turmeric, the Gold Spice and Medicinal Herb, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle by UCOR. All presentations are located in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank, 231 Jackson Square.
• Free children's activities: The Art Spot, Pendleton’s Playground Carousel, Nourish Kids Club spin art bicycle, The Home Depot building workshop, The Kid Creator Art Workshop and more. A baby changing & nursing station is located in the United Way Building.
• A Tennessee Wine Tasting (ticket required) on Saturday features four local wineries, samples of 20+ wines and ciders, and benefits United Way of Anderson County.
• A Tour of Gardens (ticket required): The entire neighborhood of Royal Troon Circle will be staffed by Master Gardeners of Anderson County. Featured gardens are open Friday 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m EST.
• Chapel on the Hill Presentation. 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. EST: Learn the history of the first church in Oak Ridge.
• Herb Lunch - Friday, June 19, at noon EST in the Square. This event is sold out.

Plan your trip on Saturday, June 20:
• Free shuttles and parking: Two free shuttles will run 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST from Roane State Community College, 701 Briarcliff Avenue. Ample handicapped parking is located at the corner of East Tennessee Avenue and Towne Road. Free parking is available in city lots and streets surrounding the festival. Three drop-off locations are located on the east, west and south sides of the festival. • Free water-refill stations: There are four locations around the square. Bring a refillable water bottle or purchase aluminum recyclable water bottles from Oak Ridge High School Dance Cats at each water station.
Jackson Square Lavender Festival is produced by a local nonprofit, Grow Oak Ridge, which supports local food security in the region, strengthening farmers' markets, community gardens, and nutrition education.
