Tennessee-Based Circus Ensemble, One World Circus, will perform Webs, a show that weaves together stories of healing and justice for survivors of sexual trauma. Through feats of aerial, tightrope, song, and storytelling they share narratives that call for justice, a new era of sex education for young people, and the end of rape culture. The show will be presented by local aerial ensemble, One World Circus, at the Old City Performing Arts Center, January 12 - 14, 2023.

Webs is a collection of stories about healing from sexualized violence as told through the mediums of circus, music, and poetry. These stories come courageously from our real-life cast, friends, and community members. They are stories about living through the experience of sexualized violence and finding the courage to heal.

These stories are shared to remind survivors and those who know them that it is possible to feel whole again and that we are allowed to imagine and craft a world where this kind of thing doesn't happen. These stories are shared to remember that none of us is alone in the survivor’s experience.

“This circus invites the audience to enjoy feats of honesty and daring aerials, acrobatics and spoken word while imagining a world without limits." -Johnson City Press, 2019
