Local preschoolers and heroes celebrate National Fire Prevention Week

When it comes to fire safety, there’s no such thing as learning too early! As part of National Fire Prevention Week, Pre-K students at Primrose School of Hardin Valley were visited by the firefighters from Karns Volunteer Fire Station #2. During the visit, students learned about fire safety and even toured the fire truck and equipment.

Fire Prevention Week is observed Oct. 8-14, and the lessons are emphasized throughout the month. During Fire Prevention Week, firefighters help to teach children, adults and teachers how to stay safe in the event of a fire and educate them on ways to avoid fire-related incidents.
