Cleveland Senior Community Fights Parkinson’s with Bike-a-Thon

CLEVELAND, TN -- Community Avail Senior Living has completed a bike-a-thon to fight Parkinson’s and even went over their original $15,000 goal.

Many participants, including Mayor Kevin Brooks, hopped on bikes in the YMCA, where the fundraiser was hosted, to help raise awareness and give back.

Dina Dell is an Avail resident’s family member who also teaches the Rock Steady Boxing class at the local YMCA. Avail was asked to be one of the participants. The Avail team raised $4,500, and altogether the 10 teams raised $30,000.

“Cleveland, you are amazing,” shares Carrie Villines, Community Sales Director of Avail. “We raised over $15,000 because of this community and its spirit.”
