ONEIDA, TN - Beginning this year, historic Charit Creek Lodge will be open all winter for overnight stays with a discounted weekday rate for January and February. For stays booked from Sunday night through Thursday night the discounted rate will be $75 per night.

Originally built in 1817 as a hunting camp by Long Hunter and pioneer Jonathan Blevins, Charit Creek Lodge offers park visitors a unique way to experience the beauty and serenity of Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area without modern distractions. Accessible by foot (or horseback) only, nature’s sounds prevail here. Although no electricity is available, heat and light are made possible the old fashioned way by stove and lantern, providing rustic charm and a truly memorable experience.

Reservations and a full meal service can be made by visiting their web site at www.ccl-bsf.com.

For more information on authorized services at Big South Fork NRRA, visit www.nps.gov/biso/ or call the park at 423-569-9778.
