MARYVILLE -- Clover Hill Senior Living had a special visit recently. Residents got to meet a preschool class that they are adopting at Stepping Stones Preschool.
“We have adopted a class at Stepping Stones Preschool the last six years,” explains Skip Wheeler, Clover Hill Senior Living’s Director of Operations. “Residents visit with back to school gifts, attend the children’s special performances, and deliver handmade blankets as “graduation” gifts for each student moving on to kindergarten. In the spring, the class visits Clover Hill for an Easter Egg Hunt, and we exchange Christmas and Valentine's Day gifts as well.”
Each fall, the residents receive individual pictures with “their” preschooler’s first name as a reminder to lift that child up during daily prayer.

Curtis and Jean Henderson recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at their home, Clover Hill Senior Living, located at 2317 US 411 South, Maryville, TN 37801.
Curtis met Jean in the sixth grade, but he did not sweep her off her feet until she was 22 years old. The couple married and started out their life together in Alabama. They raised seven children and eventually moved to Tennessee, where they started their own cleaning supply business that they ran together for 42 years.
During these years, Curtis learned how to build houses and cabins by reading books. He built 17 different homes that the couple either lived in or sold–quite an amazing feat! Their children even made them a book showcasing all their homes.
Curtis and Jean have been married for 65 years and now have a total of 38 grand and great-grandchildren. Their life is full of fun get-togethers and love. Curtis presented his wife with a bouquet of roses on their special day.
