Fundraising campaign for ASAP of Anderson

KNOXVILLE -- Five University of Tennessee students who have partnered with ASAP of Anderson to create a crowdfunding campaign called Vol in For ASAP of Anderson. This campaign aims to prevent substance abuse in children and adults in Anderson County, while spreading awareness to the community and providing resources to those suffering. This group of students is chomping at the bit to give back to the Knoxville and Anderson County communities and has until May 4, 2022 to reach their goal.

ASAP of Anderson is a non profit organization that is dedicated to one day having a drug and substance free Anderson County. ASAP of Anderson also assists in events like movie nights, school visits, prom, and graduation celebrations to help spread awareness to youth generations about drug misuse and the lasting consequences that come with it. These events are proactive measures in familiarizing younger generations and adults with ways to prevent loose medication or substances in Anderson County.





ASAP of Anderson is hosting a movie night event featuring the film The Sandlot on June 11th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at George Templin Memorial Athletic Field, to spread awareness of drug misuse. Stacey, the project director of ASAP of Anderson expresses her strong connection with the organization by saying, “We hope you'll join us in saying 'I am ONE who will take action to prevent substance misuse'”. This program and event is so impactful in keeping the youth of Knoxville and surrounding areas safe from substances, and helps bring joy through a family friendly movie watch.

Vols in For ASAP of Anderson understands how important keeping not only our community safe, but the youth as well. Team member Julia Peterson has decided to continue to help prevent substance abuse in Knoxville and Anderson county and said, “the push to clean up our community doesn’t end here for me, I want nothing less than a clean community for our future generations to enjoy.” Stacey, the project director of ASAP of Anderson expresses her strong will with the organization with, “We hope you'll join us in saying ‘I am ONE who will take action to prevent substance misuse.”
