Norris Lake, TN was just ranked as the #2 destination to buy a lake house in the US, based on a newly released report by Vacasa.
Vacasa’s 2021 report outlines the Best Place to Buy a Lake House which analyzes market data to help homebuyers maximize the best return on their investment.
To determine its ranking of top markets, Vacasa and its licensed subsidiaries analyzed home sales data from the last 12 months for vacation destinations throughout the country and overlaid it with actual performance data for thousands of U.S. vacation rental properties. They utilize data from the markets where it actively operates to ensure accuracy of performance.
Averages of property taxes, utilities, HOA fees, insurance, and property management fees were all considered in each market to calculate average cap rate.
Norris has 809 miles of shoreline and 33,840 acres of water surface. It is the largest reservoir on a tributary of the Tennessee River. There are 22 marinas on Norris Lake.
