Alcoa Maryville Church of God Christmas tree sale helps children

Alcoa Maryville Church of God invites you to change the lives of children globally and locally with your Christmas tree purchase this year! Beginning Saturday, November 20th, you can purchase a beautiful, fresh Fraser Fir at Alcoa Maryville Church of God located at 2615 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway. Through the Buy A Tree Change A Life organization, all of the proceeds of your purchase will go to help children in some of the most challenging places on the planet and right here in our own local community.

Alcoa Maryville Church of God has partnered locally with Smoky Mountain Children’s Home where half of all proceeds will go towards providing exceptional care for at-risk children and teens through Smoky Mountain Children’s Home residential and foster care programs.

The remaining proceeds go toward global outreach ministries providing education, care, mentoring, food, and housing to those in need. BUY A TREE CHANGE A LIFE supports children’s homes, learning centers, schools, families, and feeding programs across the world. We want to inspire hope and empower potential in the next generation!

About Buy A Tree Change A Life
In 2012, a family in Homestead, FL was adopting a child from Ethiopia. $25,000 was needed for the adoption. The church they attended decided to sell Christmas trees to raise the money. 450 Christmas trees were sold and $25,000 was raised.

Due to the success of BUY A TREE CHANGE A LIFE, a non-profit organization called ForHope.us was founded in 2012. In 2021 we have fifty-nine churches in 17 states rallying their communities, government officials, sponsors and local businesses around this project!
