Young-Williams Animal Center receives $10,000 grant from PetSmart Charities

KNOXVILLE - Young-Williams Animal Center of East Tennessee was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from Pet Smart Charities’ Emergency Relief Fund to assist animal welfare organizations in areas highly affected by COVID-19.

This funding will help provide pet food, litter and other critical supplies to keep pets and pet parents together. Funding will also expand resources for those displaced as a result of COVID-19 by providing up to 10 days of emergency boarding, free vaccinations, and three months of preventative medications, as well as funding to support those facing unexpected pet medical bills and/or pet fees on top of other moving expenses, ultimately keeping those pets with their families and out of the shelter.
