KNOXVILLE - First Baptist Church of Knoxville has voted to call Dr. Brent McDougal as its next Senior Pastor.

Dr. McDougal currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He will begin his time at First Baptist on December 1, 2020. His first Sunday in the pulpit will begin on December 6th.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. McDouglas holds degrees from the University of Aalbama, the Beeson Divinity School of Samford University, and Emory University. He and his wife, Jen, have two grown children, Christopher and Emily.

"The church looks forward to welcoming the McDougal family just in time for Advent," said Pam Neal, First Baptist Church Minister for Administration.
