KNOXVILLE — Dogwood Arts offers a new way to support the arts and keep yourself healthy with limited edition dogwood print face masks. Masks come in two colors and are available online now for $20, while supplies last. For every mask sold, Dogwood Arts will donate two Art Kits to kids in need through the Arts Kits for Kids program.

To date, Dogwood Arts has compiled and distributed 750 Art Kits through nonprofit organizations that already aid youth in East Tennessee including Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley, Centro Hispano, the YWCA, Knox County Head Start, and the Change Center. The fundraiser will support the expansion of the Art Kit program, allowing Dogwood Arts to reach more kids and partner with additional organizations that serve communities in need.

About the Arts Kits for Kids Program: Every child deserves access to creative opportunities and art education regardless of their financial circumstances. Time spent creating art has a tremendous positive impact on child development but unfortunately, many children in our community do not have the resources necessary to enjoy art at home. Our Art Kits help change that by providing a variety of age-appropriate supplies like crayons, colored pencils, markers, modeling clay, coloring pages, construction paper, scissors, pencils, pencil sharpeners, glue, pens, and notepads, and more.

About the Face Masks: Each mask was handmade in Knoxville, TN by Prestige Cleaners. Masks are washable, reusable, and made of 3-ply fabric, with an outer layer of tightly woven cotton and a removable filter insert designed for enhanced protection. The masks are not medical devices or products and are not meant to take the place of N-95 respirators or surgical masks. Dogwood Arts makes no warranties or implies that the masks prevent the infection or the transmission of viruses and diseases.

If companies or individuals are interested in supporting the Art Kit For Kids program, Dogwood Arts is also seeking donations of bulk art or school supplies such as pencils, note pads, pens, paper, stickers, markers, etc. Monetary donations can also be sent by check or online. 100% of donations received through this program will go to purchase Art Kit materials. Inquiries about the program can be directed to Sherry Jenkins, Executive Director of Dogwood Arts, at or (865) 246-4397.

The Art Kit For Kids program is made possible by these generous sponsors who support Dogwood Arts year-round: ORNL Federal Credit Union, Pilot Company, First Horizon Bank, Grayson Auto Group, Tennessee Arts Commission, Home Federal Bank, and Regal Entertainment Group.
