The Tennessee Valley Authority has launched a seven-month-long social media contest to encourage everyone to take advantage of lakes and recreations areas and then share the fun by posting their favorite photos and short videos on social media. The contest, called #TVAfun, started April 1 and runs through the end of October.

As you enjoy the outdoors, take videos or pictures of camping, hiking, water skiing, whitewater rafting, birdwatching or mountain biking.

Prizes will be awarded for the best submitted photo or video that matches the monthly theme:

April – Fishing
May – Camping
June – Hiking
July – Lake Fun
August – Whitewater rafting and paddling
September – Birdwatching
October – Mountain Biking

Monthly winners will also be eligible to win the grand prize, a GoPro Camera kit, which will be awarded in November after the #TVAfun campaign ends.

Entering the contest is easy and free. Just take your great photo or video, tag it with #TVAfun and post it to your personal Twitter or Instagram account. Or, you can upload the photo directly to TVA’s Facebook page by selecting the contest tab.
