For those who want to renew home lawns or revitalize turf grass fields, you will have an opportunity to learn ways to do that at the annual University of Tennessee Turf & Ornamental Field Day to be held on Thursday, September 10 from 7:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The event will be held at the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, Plant Sciences Unit,
3215 Alcoa Highway.
The field day has become one of the largest and fastest growing field day events in the United States. Last year approximately 500 people attended to learn the latest strategies for managing infestations of turfgrass weeds and diseases, cultivar evaluations, athletic field turf, and ornamental plant materials. Participants include golf course managers, landscape planners and others interested in managing turf for outdoor venues.

Visitors can also enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center Plant Sciences Unit.
Registration will be accepted on-site the day of the event for a fee of $75 for one member of a company or household, and an additional $45 for additional members of the same company or household. The event will be held rain or shine.
