KNOXVILLE – TVA is conducting a summer-long photo contest to encourage folks to get out and enjoy our region’s wonderful natural resources, and then share the fun through their favorite photos. The contest began this week and runs through Labor Day. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.

Entering the contest is free. Tag your photo with #TVAsummer and post it to your personal Twitter or Instagram account. Or, you can upload the photo directly to TVA’s Facebook page.

There is a lot to do on TVA’s many lakes and recreation areas, from hiking, fishing, skiing and mountain biking to more relaxed activities like bird watching or just a quiet picnic. Whatever it is, take a photo and post it.

The contest runs from May 18 to Sept. 7, 2015. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

First place: GoPro Hero4 Extreme Camera Kit
Second place: Fitbit Surge Fitness Superwatch
Third place: Eton Hand Turbine Rechargeable USB Battery Pack
