hope for warriorsKNOXVILLE – On Tuesday, July 14, Smoky Mountain Rally 2015 will begin to roll through the Smoky Mountains with 80 sports cars, muscle cars, and other unique rides. There will be 80 teams of two or more people, 2 racing venues, and 25 stops at historical and scenic locations across the world famous Smoky Mountains as they search for secret check points at incredible locations.

They Rally is held as a fundraiser for Hope for the Warriors® whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for service members and military families.

Teams will crisscross the mountains beginning in Knoxville and navigating into western North Carolina, South Carolina, and on to Athens, GA before ending on Thursday, July 16, in Savannah, GA. Specific, secret check points that must be navigated along the route are not revealed to the participants until they leave their starting points each day.

Established in the winter of 2009, Rally North America Charities is a not-for-profit organization aimed at bringing automotive enthusiasts from all over the United States and Canada together for the purpose of auto rallying.

Each rally organized by Rally North America (RNA) carries a common idea – driving for a cause. RNA believes that by combining the love of the automotive lifestyle and a worthy charity organization, it is possible to do something “good” through the automotive hobby. Rally North America events have raised more than $400,000 in direct donations to the charities chosen as beneficiaries.

Rally North America participants are required to provide a professional and respectful representation of the automotive community to everyone. Participants must follow the rules of the road and are expected to be courteous to the drivers with whom they are sharing the road at all times.
