Goodwill hosting golf tourney to celebrate Hatmaker Family

KNOXVILLE — Goodwill Industries-Knoxville is hosting its 7th Annual Goodwill Golf Classic to help support Goodwill's mission of providing vocational training and employment opportunities for people with barriers to employment.

As a sign of gratitude and appreciation, Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. will hold the Golf Classic to celebrate the contributions of the Hatmaker family, including the late Knoxville businessmen, Jerry and Travis Hatmaker. Both were supporters and dear friends of Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, helping the non-profit expand their vocational training programs and services in East Tennessee. The Goodwill Golf Classic will serve as a tribute and celebration of the lives and legacies of these two great men, as well as a celebration of the ongoing effects they leave behind.

The tournament will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at Holston Hills Country Club. Registration is $150 for an individual player, or $550 for a team of four; all golfers receive free lunch and hors d‘oeuvres, refreshments throughout the event, a goody bag and the chance to win prizes, including the $10,000 hole-in-one shot. The tournament is a four person modified scramble.

Proceeds from the Goodwill Golf Classic benefit Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc.’s mission to provide vocational services and employment opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment. For over 40 years, Goodwill has been serving Knox and surrounding counties by providing Certified Nurse Assistant training, computer skills training, job preparedness training, youth mentoring and much more. In 2014, they served more than 4,000 individuals through their vocational training and employment services.

Allied Toyotalift is a proud sponsor of the Goodwill Golf Classic. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. More information and registration can be found at www.goodwillknoxville.org/golf or by calling the Goodwill Marketing Team at 865-588-8567.
