Residents can experience a zip line adventure that will take them on a two-hour tour over seven zip lines and a Discover Foxfire Mountain self-guided tour. The self-guided tour takes the guest through miles of hiking trails to Lost Mine Falls, America’s longest swinging bridge, and through historic pastures where visitors can view exotic African Watusi cattle. This tour takes approximately two hours and is included with the zip line tour.
The cost to local residents is only $25 per person. Proof of residency is required for each guest. Don’t want to zip line? Residents can enjoy a self-guided Discover Foxfire Mountain Tour for free. Other adventures and activities are available at regular admission price.
Foxfire Mountain is a 150-acre adventure park located at 3757 Thomas Lane. The park features the longest suspension bridge in the United States. America’s Bridge to Prosperity is longer than a football field and provides guests with breath taking views. The park features bear crawler rides, hiking trails, and llama treks.
Several new attractions that will be open inside the park on Memorial Day Weekend include a 12-element aerial ropes course with 2 zip lines over Dunn’s Creek, the Gorilla, a 60-foot rock climbing wall, and Goliath, a 475 foot high zip line. Goliath, just one of the 5 new extreme zip lines, is almost twice as high as Knoxville’s Sunsphere, 70 feet higher than the Space Needle in Gatlinburg, and is the highest zip line in the south.
