Local Jeep club to ride out for Helen Ross McNabb Center
KNOXVILLE -- Jeep Talk is hosting a benefit ride for the Helen Ross McNabb Center on Saturday, July 20. All proceeds will benefit the 17,000 children, adults and families served by the Center each year.
Riders will meet at the Knoxville Expo Center and take a relaxing ride by Douglas Lake and into Chestnut Hill, stopping at the Bush Visitor Center and Museum for a picnic lunch. Following lunch, riders will head into Pigeon Forge and up through Wears Valley to Jeepism, a new jeep accessory store located in Townsend, TN at the corner of Wears Valley Road and Hwy 321 (www.jeepism.com). The planned ride is approximately 84 miles.
Jeep enthusiasts are invited to participate even if you don’t own a jeep. All vehicles are welcome to come along for the ride. Pre-registration for the event is $30 and includes a free t-shirt. The day of ride registration is $30 with no shirt included. T-shirts can be pre-ordered and purchased for $10. The close date for pre-registration and shirt orders is June 8.
