General Shale hosting Do-It-Yourself Demo Day at Knoxville Showroom
KNOXVILLE -- General Shale is hosting a Do-It-Yourself Demo Day to introduce customers to the company's do-it-yourself outdoor living kits.
The event will be held Friday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at General Shale's Outdoor Living Showroom located at 9714 Parkside Drive in Knoxville.
Renowned BBQ expert Chris Marks will provide cooking demonstrations and lead a free, reservation-only cooking class from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Although there is no charge for the class, pre-registration is required for planning purposes. Class size is limited to 20 participants, and registrants will be accepted on a first-call, first-serve basis. To pre-register, call 865-531-6203.
The public is also invited to stop by and enjoy hot dogs, soft drinks and BBQ samples, and General Shale staff will demonstrate do-it-yourself product assemblies throughout the day. Customers will receive a 15-percent discount on all outdoor living products, including concrete and clay pavers, as well as Napoleon Grills and the Good One smokers during the event. The discount excludes accessories.
Visitors over the age of 18 may register for fire pit outdoor living kits, with drawings to be held on Friday at 4 p.m. Registrants do not have to be present to win.
"We are excited for friends, neighbors and construction professionals to see our do-it-yourself products and enjoy great food and the festivities," says Dick Green, CEO of General Shale. For those planning warm-weather building or remodeling projects, this is a great time to purchase outdoor living products at a reduced price. Staff members will be available to assist with design ideas, installation advice and product choices.
