Annual Icycle Mountain Bike Event set for January 26 at Fontana

Bikers get ready for a 7 mile cross country course of varied terrain with rocks, roots, creeks, and wide open passing lanes. Enjoy some of the finest western North Carolina singletrack as you participate in the annual Icycle Mountain Bike Race in Fontana Village.

An Icycle Night Downhill race will take place at 5:30 p.m. This race is not for the faint at heart and includes categories for experts, sportsters, beginners, and full rigid.

Participation in one racing event is $30.00 and dual entries is $50.00.

The cross country race begins at 11:00 a.m. in five minute waves for Sport, Big Bike, and Beginner categories. At 1:00 p.m. the Expert and Single-Speed categories start. Registration is at go-greenevents.com.

All events will be held rain, shine, or snow.
