Crescent Bend to host Open House for special event planning

KNOXVILLE -- Crescent Bend house museum is one of Knoxville's most popular venues for special events including weddings, business meetings, picnics, and any other occasions which demand unique meeting space. On Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1:00 pm - 4 pm, the museum is hosting an Open House for special event planning.

The public is invited to attend "A Taste of Crescent Bend House & Gardens" which is a free event. The property that day will be set up as if an actual event were taking place. Special event vendors will be on hand to assist you as you plan for your own special event at Crescent Bend. You will have an opportunity to meet and talk with caterers, photographers, transportation vendors, musicians, entertainers, bridal shops, floral designers, and rentals.

Built 178 years ago in 1834, historic Crescent Bend house museum and its three acre terraced botanical gardens overlook the Tennessee River and can be used as the backdrop for many special occasions.

Crescent Bend's antebellum house museum and botanical garden has indoor and outdoor facilities that can accommodate up to 250 guests. The enchanting three-acre formal Italian gardens feature nine terraces and five fountains that provide a romantic open-air setting with Magnolia blossoms, roses, and thousands of colorful blooming flowers.

All Crescent Bend events are "customized" to your wants and desires. They offer all-inclusive event services as well as the option to plan your own event. Whether your event is during the annual TulipTime Festival when 25,000 tulips will be in bloom in the gardens or during the holiday season when the house is adorned with traditional Christmas decorations, picturesque Crescent Bend House & Gardens makes for a memorable occasion.
