Knoxville Writers' Guild literary contests are underway

KNOXVILLE -- Submissions are being accepted for the 2012 Knoxville Writers' Guild (KWG) Literary Contests now through May 31.

KWG is looking forward to reviewing the works of a diverse cross section of writing talent. Contestants can enter any or all of the categories.

The Guild will award more than $1,000 in prizes in the following six categories: Fiction, Poetry, Creative Nonfiction, Young Writers' Poetry, Novel Excerpts and, this year's new category, One Act Play/Script. Winners will be published on the KWG website and recognized at a Guild meeting later this year.
