Marble Springs to host a day of history featuring award winning author Randell Jones
KNOXVILLE -- Marble Springs State Historic Site will host a day of history at the annual meeting of the Governor John Sevier Memorial Association with special programming by award winning author Randell Jones on Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
This event will feature two lectures by Jones; the first, at 10:30 am, will discuss his novel In the Footsteps of Daniel Boone, and the second, at 1:00 pm, will discuss Before They Were Heroes at King's Mountain—the campaign and battle during the Revolutionary War in which John Sevier played an important role. Following each lecture, Jones will be available to answer questions and sign copies of his books. A changing of the flag ceremony will take place at 10:00am, and the Annual Meeting will take place at 12:00pm.
