Thousands of Santa Clauses to run the streets of Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE, TN -- The Santa Hustle Smokies 5k and Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, December 9, 2012. Thousands of santa hustleSanta Clauses will be running the streets of Sevierville starting and finishing at Wilderness at the Smokies Waterpark and Resort for the Santa Hustle Smokies Race.

The Marathon is in its second year and is part of the nation-wide popular and exponentially growing race series. The 5k and Half Marathon is becoming a holiday tradition for many area runners bringing more and more runners each year. All participants will receive a free Santa T-Shirt, Beard, and Hat and will join thousands of others all dressed up like Santa Claus.

The race will also feature outrageous holiday decorations including a 50 foot Santa Claus, Rudolph, and Snowman, festive music, and cookie and candy stations along the course. You can't get more festive than that.

The Santa Hustle Race Series benefits Toys for Tots and encourages runners to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be distributed to needy children in the local community.

The 5k is $45.00 for the 5k and $66.00. Packet Pickup will be held at Wilderness Waterpark and Resort on Saturday, December 8 from 10 AM to 7 PM. All runners must pick up their packets in order to race.

The run is facilitated by Adrenaline Sports Management. As an event management company, ASM specializes in the planning and production of athletic events throughout the country.
